MMEx 2023 in Review - Chris

We asked members of the MMEx team to reflect on their 2023 achievements.

Chris, the Chief Operating Officer of ISA Healthcare said:

His 2023 personal work-related achievement was being shortlisted for WA Health’s “The Challenge”. The project MMEx is involved in was selected as one of ten participants from 96 entries worldwide. The Challenge is about reimagining what it means to deliver regional and remote healthcare to resolve a pressing problem of health service delivery in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. Chris’s favourite new MMEx feature is the ever-growing list of apps and devices that are becoming part of the MMEx ecosystem using the MMEx standards based public API.

Next year he is looking forward to MMEx implementing an integration with the National Cancer Screening Registry. 

MMEx 2023 in Review - David

We asked members of the MMEx team to reflect on their 2023 achievements.

David, one of our long-time developers said:

His 2023 personal work-related achievement was developing the reporting framework that the new Syphilis Testing Report uses. This report is used to support the National Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation ( @NACCHO ) coordinated, Enhanced Syphilis Response (ESR) Program by making it easier to submit syphilis testing data for those customers who are required to do so.

David’s favourite new MMEx feature is the updated Allergies & Alerts module that delivered greatly improved functionality to a long-term MMEx module.

Next year he is looking forward to MMEx implementing the ePrescribing conformance profile 3.0.1. This version of ePrescribing includes unusual dose alerts and Active Script List integration.

 

MMEx 2023 in Review - Christian

We asked members of the MMEx team to reflect on their 2023 achievements.

Christian, one of our developers said:

His 2023 personal work-related achievement was implementing a dynamic graphing tool for acute observations, that is use for deterioration early warning tools.

Christian’s favourite new MMEx feature is the implementation of these early warning tools in the Chronic Kidney Disease specialty module. This module is used to manage dialysis treatments.

Next year he is looking forward to evaluating home monitoring and wearable integration options to identify suitable devices and platforms for integration with MMEx.

 

MMEx 2023 in Review - Jenny

We asked members of our team to reflect on their 2023 achievements.

Jenny, our General Manager and Clinical Lead said:

Her 2023 personal work-related achievement was working with Charles Darwin University to implement the Australian Nurse Family Partnership Program (ANFPP) into MMEx. The tools for customers who deliver this program include full integration all forms and reporting.

Jenny’s favourite new MMEx feature is the Alerts and Allergies update that has improved recording of Adverse Reactions, display of alerts in the calendar and visibility of privacy settings on alerts.

Next year she is looking forward to MMEx implementing Griffith University’s Tracking Cube tool for screening for fetal alcohol spectrum disorder (FASD) in primary health care.  The tool is part one of a proposed Tracking Cube specialty module.

 

MMEx 2023 in Review - Geeta

We asked members of our team to reflect on their 2023 achievements.

Geeta, one of our developers said:

Her 2023 personal work-related achievement was learning and implementing CDA (Clinical Document Architecture – an HL7 standard) for uploading an Advanced Care Directive to My Health Record.

Her favourite new MMEx feature is a billing module upgrade that she worked on, this included implementing a discount function so that discounts can be applied to visits, quotes and invoices. This was teamed with some useability improvements to the billing module.

Next year she is looking forward to MMEx implementing additional billing module improvements. This time a much-anticipated integration with Tyro that will support online payments and health fund claiming.

MMEx 2023 in Review - Marko

We asked members of the MMEx team to reflect on their 2023 achievements.

Marko. One of our Senior Developers said:

His 2023 personal work-related achievement was implementing new National Key Performance Indicators (nKPI) reporting changes and scoring 100% of the Department of Health validation testing. This is the third year in a row of attaining 100% for MMEx.

Marko’s favourite new MMEx feature is Azure AD expansion to support multiple instances of Azure AD for a multi-organisation customer

Next year he is looking forward to implementing a new data tool called Insights Lynk. This is underpinned by the ISA Insights data warehouse and provides additional reporting capability and choice for customers.

 

MMEx 2023 in Review - Jennifer

We asked members of our team to reflect on their 2023 achievements.

Jenn, Clinical Application Specialist (who was a long time MMEx user before joining out team this year) said:

Her 2023 personal work-related achievement was working with a new customer to onboard their multi-clinic service in Papua New Guinea. This on-boarding was conducted fully remotely and included repeat training sessions for staff who work rotating on/off rosters and came on to site and started to use progressively throughout the project period.

Her favourite new MMEx feature is the ability to securely send documents to other clinicians and services using the HealthLink secure messaging integration. This integration being embedded in an efficient referral workflow makes it so easy to use.

Next year she is looking forward to MMEx implementing a new Integrated Team Care (ITC) management register. This register will make it easier for users to capture ITC program activity and simplify periodic reporting using ISA Insights.

 

MMEx 2023 in Review - Reza

We asked members of the MMEx team to reflect on their 2023 achievements.

Reza, one of our Senior Developers said:

His 2023 personal work-related achievement was replacing the existing Medisecure integration with an eRx integration and achieving conformance within a very short period to meet a very tight, government-imposed timeline. MMEx had the development implemented and all customers using the new service in advance of the initial cut-off date.

Reza’s favourite new MMEx feature is the updated technology and improved functionality of the Medical History module.

Next year he is looking forward to MMEx implementing prescribing updates including unusual dose indicators, note to dispenser, dispenser Pharmacy name and an updated prescribing UI.

 

MMEx 2023 in Review - Justin

We asked members of the MMEx team to reflect on their 2023 achievements.

Justin, one of our Customer Support team members said:

His 2023 personal work-related achievement was assisting customer to start receiving their diagnostics reports via the HealthLink secure messaging integration.

His favourite new MMEx feature is the MMEx user manual being linked to user accounts for seamless access. He also likes that MMEx roadmap information has been included for customers to be able to see long-term plans for MMEx improvement and expansion.

Next year he is looking forward to MMEx implementing configurable demographic headers so that customers can display the information they want to see.

 

MMEx 2023 in Review - Sarah

We asked members of our team to reflect on their 2023 achievements.

Sarah, a Change and Implementation Consultant said:

Her 2023 personal work-related achievement was moving all of our prescribers from Medisecure to eRx, including registering them all individually, with minimal impact on them or disruption to their prescribing.

Her favourite new MMEx feature is the expansion of the Case Management module so it can now be used by all teams and programs, not just mental health. Customers can now choose their preferred default privacy setting and also apply privacy setting on a case by case basis!

Next year she is looking forward to MMEx implementing the upgrade to patient communications. This will include the ability to send adhoc emails to patients from MMEx. Users will also be able to send eligible documents directly to a patient which will be really useful for providing exercise program instructions or condition-specific health information.

 

MMEx 2023 in Review - Lakshmi

Lakshmi, our newest Data Analyst said:

Her 2023 personal work-related achievement was updating the ISA Insights billing data source with the billing discount development changes

Her favourite new MMEx features are the security improvements implemented early in 2023. Log in timeouts and multiple Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) options further protect user’s accounts and patient data.

Next year she is looking forward to MMEx implementing a new reporting framework for the Integrated Team Care (ITC) program that supports the new ITC management register.

Tim, our Chief Architect said:

His 2023 personal work-related achievement has been the expanded usage of the MMEx APIT

His favourite new MMEx features are all of the performance improvements that our customers often don’t notice!

Next year he is looking forward to ISA Healthcare implementing a new data tool called Insights Lynk. This is underpinned by the ISA Insights data warehouse and provides additional reporting capability and choice for customers.

Melody, one of our Customer Support team members said:

Her 2023 personal work-related achievement was implementing an account management process that aims to improve communication with renewing customers.

Her favourite new MMEx feature is the update to the user interface of the MMEx User Manual and it now being linked to user accounts.

Next year she is looking forward to MMEx implementing the ability to configure multiple reminders for patient appointments.
