MMEx 2022 in Review

MMEx is not your average clinical software. It changes and grows as your business changes and grows.

We thought we would end the year by reviewing the improvements and features added to MMEx in 2022 – one release a day.

As MMEx is delivered as Software As A Service (SAAS) our customers don't have to do a thing to reap the benefits of our improvements. No upgrades to purchase or install - we do it all for them. Every customer is always using the latest version of MMEx.

If you’re sick of having to buy and install upgrades, or maintain servers, cloud-based MMEx is for you. Contact us now!

MMEx 2022 in Review - Day 1

2022 started with Release 22.1 in February. This release focussed on Communications and appointments.

MMEx added five new locations where you can send an ad hoc SMS to your patients along with improved record-keeping with SMS being stored in the patient documents list and an organisation-wide SMS Log that is visible to organisation administrators.

We started preparations for integration with Health Engine by introducing additional calendar configuration options and calendar groups to make switching between groups of calendars easier.

We are now integrated with Health Engine, so if you wish to start using online appointment bookings, you can! Contact us today.

MMEx 2022 in Review - Day 2

In April MMEx completed transition to the new Medicare Webservices integration in release 22.2. We successfully assisted every customer to configure their B2B devices in PRODA before the deadline – no mean feat, but achieved!

The Medicare Webservices was implemented alongside upgrades to the Billing functionality in MMEx. DVA for Allied Health was implemented, Patient billing – both private and claims was improved, and third-party billing was introduced.

General useability of the billing module was improved with customisable and importable fee schedules and the ability to refund payments.

In addition, AIR two-way integration was realised at the same time with a new AIR claims management.

MMEx 2022 in Review - Day 3

Release 22.3, applied to the production environment in June, included new Defence Force Fields that allow you to accurately record the defence service history of your clients.

We improved tag functionality and management including the ability to curate a tag selection list and the ability to bulk remove tags to clean up your records.

This release also saw nKPI reporting updates that reflected the changed age groupings. Did you know that we scored 100% on our compliance assessment again this year? MMEx 2022 in Review - Day 4

In July we implemented workflow enhancements in a follow-up to the Medicare Webservices integration.

As part of this we implemented an AIR Record Sync function that pulls immunisations recorded in the patient’s AIR record and marks off relevant care plan activities in the MMEx clinical record. (We’re all about you not having to hunt for information!)

We made some efficiency updates to the AIR Claims Management workflow.

In billing, we implemented receipts for stand-alone payments, configurable invoice and receipt footers and expanded the Third-Party Billing function that allows users to set a fee schedule per third-party account.

MMEx 2022 in Review - Day 5

In August release 22.5 included changes to My Health Record. Users now have the ability to send medication information directly to My Health Record at the time of prescribing.

They can also view prescriptions that have been uploaded to My Health Record. Appointment Confirmation options were expanded to facilitate local workflows and your customer base.

We also updated shared mailboxes to improve viewing options and to include the ability to archive messages in a shared mailbox.

MMEx 2022 in Review - Day 6

October saw the release of MMEx’s public API was released – we already have our first customer, a deputised medical service, using an integration with their custom CRM.

Release 22.6 included an update to the Smoking Assessment to include tools to assess Vaping Dependency. It also included bulk document and appointment history export/printing options. Organisation forms administration, a function where organisations can upload and store locally used documents in MMEx for user access has been improved. Users now also have the option to choose how they receive their system notifications by email or SMS.

MMEx 2022 in Review - Day 7

In November, release 22.7 focussed on user management and data.

Organisation administrators now have the ability to see which users have two-factor authentication configured and can assist with resetting if required. Organisation Admins also now have the option to schedule activation and deactivation of user accounts so that they occur at a defined time in the future. Handy for managing planned workforce changes.

Clinical licence features are now being enforced – this is the culmination of a 2-year project to improve customer licence management. Ear Health and Hearing data capture was improved in preparation for pending nKPI report requirements.

This release also saw a major update to the Clinical Audit Tool to comply with Medical Microdata package v1.35. Contact us today.
